What is a microwedding?

A microwedding is a celebration with your core group of usually between 10 - 50 people. It's a concept many engaged couples are exploring and embracing as they soul search about what matters to them in terms of sharing their union with the world.

Whether at home with the dining table overflowing with delights or a transformed backyard, these small, intimate weddings are an opportunity to go all out on the details and make memories with the people most dear to you. It doesn't mean foregoing a big after party, it may just mean postponing the grand party of 100+ guests.

One of the drawbacks of large weddings that is solved by a microwedding is that it’s near impossible to really connect and catch up with a large number of guests. Couples usually spend the night trying to fit in quick hellos and thank yous with people they haven’t seen and may not see again in years.

Not everyone has a home or backyard that can accommodate more than a handful of guests when considering parking, bathrooms, and a space for the food prep and serving.
